whythename?

We combined two terms from the legal profession to remind ourselves of our business philosophy: (1) to have only one client in each transaction and (2) to represent our clients, not merely broker them.

Blackacre: In old English law, the terms “blackacre and whiteacre” would be used “to distinguish one parcel of land from another, to avoid ambiguity”. Similarly, in our business we avoid ambiguity as to who is truly our client by representing only one party in the transaction, the tenant.

Advisors: In the legal profession, an advisor is one who “assists his client in determining the course of future conduct”. Likewise, we aspire to give our clients forward-looking advice as they make the key decisions that are a part of every lease transaction.
